The seventh annual iteration of the Women in Credit Awards, also supported by Aro, took place at the Hilton Deansgate in Manchester last night, showcasing remarkable achievements in the field.

Attendees were entertained by host, writer, comedian and podcast presenter Viv Groskop, for the black-tie evening.
Some of the standout winners of the night included Emma Steeley of Aro, who claimed two awards: Business Leader of the Year - Non-Creditor and Innovator of the Year - Non-Creditor, while Equifax saw three of its employees receiving accolades: Sue Owen-Bailey as ESG Champion, Kamini Patel as Team Leader of the Year - Non-Creditor, and Elizabeth Chapman for Transformation of the Year - Non-Creditor.
It was a particularly special night for Rula Samara of Novuna Consumer Finance, who picked up the Woman of the Year award. Recognised for her professional focus on vulnerable customers and her impressive charitable work, it’s the second time Rula has claimed this most prestigious of awards - having picked up her first back in 2021.
Other notable winners included Hannah Hunt of 365 finance as Advocate of the Year, Zuto as Employer of the Year, and Cathy Prior of Vanquis Bank, who received the Lifetime Achievement Award for her lifelong commitment to the industry and dedication to supporting children’s educational development.
The evening also saw attendees raise £4,641 for Refuge in a show of generosity and community spirit.
