Credit Strategy is thrilled to announce the third iteration of its Women in Credit Conference to take place this year on 09 October 2024 at the Hilton Deansgate, Manchester.

Credit Strategy is dedicated to facilitating vital discussions around gender equality within the credit sector and the annual event serves as a powerful platform for key issues within the industry.

Attendees will have the opportunity to gain valuable insights from leaders and experts, network and engage in conversations aimed at driving meaningful change – while the new location in Manchester broadens the reach of engagement to include more diverse perspectives and unlock the event’s true potential.

Credit Strategy is excited to share that it has a newly developed steering committee co-chaired by Claire Moore, Chief Operating Officer at Lendable, to ensure the agenda reflects exactly what the industry needs to succeed. Alongside this, a survey will run throughout the event allowing businesses to benchmark their activities on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.

Another new development for the conference that recognises and supports future generations of female leaders in credit, is the addition of an under 30’s ticket and an engaging new stream for those coming up in the industry, Building Up the Next Generation.

Featuring voices from leading companies including Tasneem Bhamji from Lloyds Banking Group, Nicola Goldie from Virgin Money and Craig Downing from the Co-operative Bank, discussions at the conference will pivot around new and persistent challenges for women in credit, including gender norms and expectations, diversity and inclusion as a regulatory concern and AI discrimination. A focus of the event will also be driving awareness around the meaning and purpose of allyship to furthering equality in the industry.

In the evening following the conference, join Credit Strategy in honouring the women and their allies who have made outstanding contributions to this field at the 7th annual Women in Credit Awards, headlined by 4most. Nominations for the awards are now open, with early entries closing on 26th April, with the standard entry deadline on 28th June.
