Returning to the home of the 2010 Ryder Cup at Celtic Manor, the event will once again bring together a vast array of industry-leading and cross-pollinating conference sessions which inform and entertain, that has become Credit Strategy’s hallmark.
But that’s not all, as the three-day event – taking place between 1 and 3 July – will give attendees superb opportunities for cross-sector networking in a whole raft of settings, from the relaxed surroundings of the Credit Week Garden Party where attendees can share a drink and play giant Jenga, to being in the cut throat battle through the Credit Week Ryder Cup competition. And that’s before we mention that Credit Week will be the home of both the Credit Awards and The Leadership Summer Dinner, featuring The Leadership Awards.
On top of this, Credit Strategy Premium Members have the chance to attend problem-solving mini-events, including Premium Member Roundtables, as well as to relax, do work and host meetings between conference sessions in the peaceful surroundings of our Premium Member Zone in the networking area.
Reflecting on her experience, Premium Member and COO of BNP Paribas UK Penny Clarke said: “Networking can sometimes be painful/forced, but the event was coordinated in a way that made it feel relaxed and easy. I was able to meet old colleagues, meet potential suppliers and build new connections.
“It’s hard to find any fault at all with the three days spent with Credit Strategy, the venue was phenomenal, access to new knowledge and network was outstanding and the food and drink pretty good too! I’m already booked for next year and can’t wait!!”
All this comes off the back of the enormous success of this year’s Credit Week, which saw many people pass through the doors of Celtic Manor, ranging from the industry’s upcoming stars to some of its biggest names, including Bruce Flecther, Mark Thundercliffe and a fleet of CEOs, CROs, COOs and senior officials of some of the biggest organisations in our industry – ranging from those operating in financial services to debt charities.
In fact, of the well over 1,000 attendees, 94% were some form of decision-maker within their business.
Above and beyond that, we had a wealth of incredible speakers giving their insights and views on some of the biggest topics of the day, including former business secretary Sir Vince Cable and the World Bank’s chief risk officer Lakshmi Shyam-Sunder.

Reflecting on this year’s event, Equifax UK’s chief strategy and innovation officer Craig Tebbutt said: “It’s been a fantastic three days, and to have all the industry experts around our industry together in one place at Celtic Manor talking and discussing some of the really key themes across our industry has been fantastic.
“I was really keen for Equifax to be the headline partner, it’s such a great event to be involved in.
“If you look at our customer base, the majority of our customer base attends Credit Week. So to be there, to have our brand prominent throughout the event and to be able to really partner with the Credit Strategy team to push forward all of the themes and promote those really rich discussions about our industry.
“Credit Week is exciting, it’s informative, and it’s a must attend event.”
