Now in its landmark 18th year, transformed from the prestigious Vulnerability Awareness Gala, the room crackled with excitement as Severn Trent Water, Aldermore Bank, and StepChange Debt Charity emerged as major winners. The Money Advice Trust kept the energy high, clinching both the Excellence in Training and Best Vulnerable Customer Support Initiative awards for Financial Services.

Octopus Energy had particular cause for celebration, taking home the Best Vulnerable Customer Support Team award, while Advantis Credit’s win for Best Company to Work For was met with enthusiastic celebration for their team. Ovo Energy’s recognition as Energy Team of the Year added to the night’s highlights.

One of the evening’s most memorable moments came as Octopus Energy’s Katie Orme was named Collections & Vulnerability Champion. Her dedication to maintaining frontline social work while heading Octopus Energy’s social work service particularly resonated with attendees.

Credit Strategy CEO Luke Broadhurst kept the evening flowing smoothly, while Irish comedian Keith Farnan had the room in stitches, with his wit matching the grandeur of the setting perfectly. Guests made the most of the Lantern-sponsored photobooth, creating lasting memories of the celebration.

The industry’s generosity was on full display as attendees raised an incredible £7,800 for Shooting Star Children’s Hospices, with Lantern’s support helping to drive the fundraising effort. This figure also means we’ve now surpassed the £140,000 milestone in fundraising for the charity at Credit Strategy events.

Special thanks go to the evening’s sponsors, Advantis Credit and Lantern, for helping make the awards ceremony a success.

For those who missed out this year, the bar has certainly been set high for 2025’s ceremony.
