Credit Week 2024 is the destination event for the credit and financial services sector providing unrivalled opportunities for education and networking for the financial services sector.

Gareth Howell, head of data solutions at TransUnion, said: “In my role as Head of Data Solutions at TransUnion, I’m always looking to evolve our data coverage with partnerships, alternative data sources and powerful new concepts that offer richer, actionable consumer insights. Credit Week is a flagship event for our industry and it’s exciting to be part of it. Our sponsorship enables us to put some of the critical and relevant issues currently facing consumers and businesses on the agenda and discuss concepts that can transform the way we tackle them.”

Financial vulnerability and non-financial vulnerability, sustainable growth, fraud prevention and consumer empowerment are just four important issues for the sector. At the heart of each issue is the consumer and in many ways these issues are interconnected and require a holistic strategy to solve effectively.

Howell continued: “I’d like to invite colleagues from across the industry to connect on the discussion around non-financial indicators and vulnerability, and the ways we can make a material difference to both consumers lives and business performance. I look forward to hearing more about your individual thoughts and challenges.

“Credit Week is a vehicle for industry leaders to discuss key challenges and emerging topics, shape opinion, and share and learn from best practice examples. The agenda’s focus on consumer vulnerability aligns with innovative work we’re doing with data, product development and consultancy work, and more broadly our commitment to using data and insights to drive financial inclusion and consumer empowerment. Additionally, it’s a unique opportunity for our teams to connect with new and existing contacts and partners and strengthen plans for 2024 and beyond.”

TransUnion is committed to helping to create better outcomes for consumers and businesses with advanced data solutions and product development, consultancy and Information for Good. The company recently signed up for the 2025 Fintech Pledge that aims to drive 25 million actions to help improve people’s financial resilience by 2025.
