Credit risk is the first of seven streams being launched ahead of next year’s Credit Summit, an all-day event taking place on 23 March 2022. The largest gathering of its kind in Europe, it will bring together the country’s leading experts from across the credit and financial services industry for a period of learning, networking and celebrating.

Returning as an in-person event for the first time since 2019, 2022 will be the 14th edition of the Credit Summit and comes off the back of the successful online summit which took place earlier this year. It will be sponsored by credit reporting agency Equifax, which has committed to this sponsorship for both 2022 and 2023.

The event will provide the industry with an opportunity for the credit industry to gather for the first time in over a year, and share knowledge and experience as to how to return to growth after being hit by the pandemic.

The credit risk stream of the Credit Summit will begin with a focus on the credit risk landscape post-Covid, followed by a look at how to reshape risk identification. After this, there will be a session seeking to answer the question as to whether regulation is limiting innovation.

Following a lunch and networking break, the stream will look at whether risk modelling through machine learning is better or if traditional methods are still best. There will then be a session looking at how to tackle the lack of reliable and enhanced credit profiles, before turning its focus towards sustainable lending for the final session of the stream.
