Designed for in-house professionals working in operations and compliance, as well as legal professionals working for financial institutions, credit brokers and retail networks offering credit products that are FCA regulated, the platform is intended to be a place to come and discuss topical legal, regulatory and compliance matters and network with others who share those interests.

Participants can expect to hear updates from the Auxillias team and invited expert guests, as well as work in peer groups to develop understanding.

Speaking about the launch of this new industry-wide forum, Auxillias chief executive Jo Davis, CEO said: “Often we see that legal and compliance issues can be a best-kept secret, with only the subject matter experts in firms holding the knowledge.

“But we know that regulatory topics are important to everyone and so we decided to create ‘Helping Hands’ to democratise this subject across the landscape of FCA-regulated organisations.”

The plan is for Helping Hands to kick off with a bi-monthly virtual meeting on Zoom supported by a flagship annual conference.

Speaking about the format, Davis said: “In the first session the senior team from Auxillias will provide an interactive update on the new consumer duty because this is front of mind for everyone.

"We will take some time with the group to shape the agenda in the coming months. And we are serious about democratising the regulatory agenda, so we will be offering participants the chance to get involved by planning and chairing future meetings with our support.”
