In recognition of International Women’s Day, Credit Strategy is pleased to announce its inaugural Women in Credit Conference, taking place in-person in London on 6 October.
Senior Journalist, covering the Credit Strategy and FSE News brands.
The conference will be a forum addressing the challenges and opportunities faced in the workplace by incredible women across the entire credit and financial services industry.
The event has been inspired by the success of the Women in Credit Awards, which were created to encourage women to talk about their achievements in a male-dominated industry. Following the 2020 judging day, the idea to create a conference around women in the industry was born.
Key agenda elements include ‘Herstory’ – a TEDx-style talk from from three women at different career stages and a panel exploring the opportunities and challenges presented by financial inclusion. As well as a session on female experiences of ‘Imposter Syndrome’ within the workplace.
Confirmed speakers so far comprise leading industry leading figures, such as Roumena Goscomb, general counsel at Simply Asset Finance, Teresa Callaghan, credit manager at Mischcon de Reva and Sarah Touzani, chief operating officer at Creditspring.

The fifth annual Women in Credit Awards will take place in the evening of the event – the only awards to exclusively champion women in credit. Nominations are now open, with standard entries closing on 13 May 2022. For more information about entering, click here.
Coupling the Women in Credit Awards with our inaugural in-person Woman in Credit conference strengthens our platform to empower, connect, support and uncover achievements among women in the profession.
Both occasions form a central part of Credit Strategy’s rapidly expanding Women in Credit brand, which already includes digital broadcast Women in Credit TV. The brand aims to produce expert-led events, platforms and discussion that support positive change for women in the credit industry on key challenges like board representation, gender pay and how to support the next generation.
