The firms will provide various services including enforcement and managed enforcement services, fraud, error and debt (FED) advisory services, and data and analysis.

The framework can be used by central and local government departments to contract services for the enforcement of public sector debt. It will run for four years from December 2021. It replaced the debt management services and debt market integrator frameworks.

The DRS framework will provide access to “the best solutions and suppliers from the private sector”, according to Arum.

Just managing director Nick Georgiades said: “We are pleased to have been selected as a key supplier with the responsibility to build a network of enforcement agencies to deliver key enforcement needs through a managed service approach.”

Arum managing director Carlos Osorio added: “We are delighted to be named as a supplier on CCS’ Debt Resolution Services framework. This demonstrates that we have met the high-quality threshold set by DRS and will give our public sector clients the confidence that we provide value for money and services that achieve fair outcomes.”

Phil McGilvray, managing director of debt services at Equifax, said: “Through our TDX Group company, Indesser, we have supported the UK government for almost seven years now, and that service continues to go from strength-to-strength as our combined capabilities evolve together.

“Our inclusion in the DRS framework will build upon the work we’ve already delivered to help find the right outcome for over six million consumers through our existing collections services for public sector clients. Whilst furthering the data and analytical services provided to more than 13,000 users across UK government agencies, enabling them to make informed decisions and operate more effectively.”

In 2020/21, CCS helped the public sector to collect commercial benefits equal to £2.04bn.
