Adapting and responding to the cost-of-living crisis takes a central role at this year’s Collections & Vulnerability Summit, taking place on 30 November in Manchester.
Senior Journalist, covering the Credit Strategy and FSE News brands.
As the economy began to emerge from the Covid-19 pandemic, a new cost-of-living crisis bit, propelling many into positions of vulnerability – some of whom would not otherwise experience this. It is critical for credit and financial services professionals to adapt at speed, whilst protecting consumers and brand reputation.
Hosted by Credit Strategy, the Collections & Vulnerability Summit featuring the Collections, Debt Sale & Purchase Conference (CDSP) and the Utilities & Telecoms Conference (U&T), with headline partner Just, brings its collective 30-year pedigree to provide a platform for industry professionals to explore pragmatic solutions to these pressing issues.
It is sponsored by Just, Webio, ALPHERA Financial Services and Flexys.
The CDSP Conference is the dedicated conference for professionals working in risk, collections, recoveries, and debt sale/purchase within the financial services sector. This year’s agenda includes a focus on the digital onboarding experience, personalising long-term collection plans and outsourcing debt collections, with an additional focus on the modern-day debt crisis.
The U&T conference is focused on those working in the risk, credit, collections, customer services and recoveries functions within energy, water and telecoms. Sessions will include how the water industry can better collaborate, managing reputational risk within energy and targeting cybercrime within telecoms.
The event also shines a light on the best means to create a greener future, the human touch vs digitalisation and the dilemma on whether firms should sell debt or not.
With dedicated networking breaks and areas, as well as the possibility to schedule meetings in advance, the Summit will enable attendees to forge vital professional connections.
The event will be followed by the annual Vulnerability Awareness Gala, which unites both Collections & Customer Service Awards and Utilities & Telecoms Awards - sponsored by Just - with a collective heritage of 26 years! The event recognises success and rewards professionals for their exceptional and critical work across credit and collections, working in financial services, energy, water, telecoms, and public sectors.
