The Lending Awards 2020 will highlight business continuity and sustainability, Credit Strategy can reveal as entries are opened.

Two new categories are being introduced to this year’s Lending Awards programme, including one recognising the impact of the coronavirus outbreak on the industry: The Company Award for Business Continuity.
It’s an unprecedented and uncertain time for businesses everywhere, and those in the mortgages, commercial finance and alternative lending spaces are no different, having to change the way they work to continue serving their clients.
This category is in recognition of firms which displayed great agility in ensuring service levels to clients remain high, demonstrated leadership to adapt their business, while keeping staff and clients and all stakeholders safe. It also recognises exceptional and efficient communication with staff, innovative approaches to advisory services and CSR activity during the outbreak.
The second new category is Company Award for Sustainability.
This category highlights work businesses across the lending space have undertaken to improve their impact on the environment through strong leadership, policies, effective communication both internally and externally, with demonstrable outcomes of sustainability activity for a local community, region or wider geographic area.
Taking place at the Hilton London Bankside on November 11, 2020, the Lending Awards 2020, following the Lending Summit earlier the same day.
The Lending Awards provide a unique opportunity for the alternative lending, commercial finance, and mortgage industries to celebrate and recognise excellence from across the entire lending market.
Some 30 categories feature awards for intermediaries, mainstream and specialist lenders, alongside market challengers and suppliers. The Lending Awards is the only award programme distinguishing and rewarding individuals, businesses and teams across the spectrum of three of the largest sectors in the UK credit market.
Entries usually cost £200 but are free of charge up until August 7, 2020 with the final entry deadline being August 14, 2020.
