The shortlist for the Credit Awards 2020, sponsored by Experian, has been revealed as the event takes on a new digital broadcast format during government restrictions.
This year the Credit Awards programme has seen a record number of both individual companies entering and total awards entries, with a historic 255 entries making it to the shortlist.
Hosted by comedian Justin Moorhouse, the Credit Awards will take place on a new date of November 5, with each winner announced from our London TV studio. Moorhouse is a stand-up comedian and radio DJ, with appearances on Live at the Apollo, Comedy Roadshow and 8 Out Of 10 Cats, and previously hosted the Collections & Customer Service Awards in 2019.
While it’s the first time the Credit Awards will be announced digitally, the winners will receive industry recognition and public acclaim in perhaps the toughest year they’ve faced, where many staff have remained remote and isolated from their colleagues and company culture.
As government policy has rendered large gatherings impossible, those who have booked a table will be given a company licence for anyone in their company, including up to executive level, to view the awards gala presentation. There is no restriction on numbers for the company licence.
In a difficult year where many staff may have felt isolated from their own organisation and the wider industry, this licence should enable broader inclusivity of the awards programmes.
It will also help to ensure finalists and winners can be recognised for outstanding achievement across a much larger, live audience, including an unlimited number of their colleagues – such as those at board level.
