Tesco Bank has appointed Debbie Walker as its interim chief risk officer.
Walker, who has been compliance and conduct risk director since July 2018, will take on this new role from 30 June subject to regulatory approval.
She is taking over from current chief risk officer Richard Henderson who is becoming the bank’s chief financial officer from 29 June.
Walker has been with Tesco Bank since August 2017 when she joined as head of risk operations.
A chartered banker, she previously held commercial and risk management roles at RBS in its corporate and retail banking divisions.
Tesco Bank chief executive Gerry Mallon said: “Debbie has significant expertise and a track record of managing risk on our customers’ behalf which will serve her well in her new role.”
Walker is also chair of Tesco Bank’s ‘Women at Tesco’ colleague network.
