The energy crisis, the benefits of smart meters, virtual credit cards and balancing affordability are all on the agenda in 2023’s Utilities and Telecoms stream, at the Credit Summit 2023, part of Credit Week.
The Utilities and Telecoms stream agenda, the fourth of seven Credit Summit streams, has been revealed today.
With the cost-of-living crisis still rampant, the utilities and telecoms industry faces enormous challenges and a heightened sense of importance in modern society. Pulling together to face the common problems that both professionals and customers face is of upmost importance, and the Utilities and Telecoms stream at the Credit Summit 2023 will analyse just how to do that.
Following the opening sessions on the plenary, including a Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and an economic update, our opening session will be Energy Crisis Update: Supporting vulnerable customers. This session will be focussing on best practice in communication with vulnerable customers and how best to support them through these trying times.
Subsequent sessions will explore the benefits of smart meters in the water sector, including positive impact they have on net-zero targets. Also included will be balancing affordability and staying viable within the industry, assessing the best ways along with discussing schemes that could be implemented in order to ease the burden on customers.
Following the sessions, the agenda also looks at diversity and analyses how far the industry has come in the past year. A topical and vital discussion within every industry, our expert speakers will delve into the core of the issues surrounding diversity, with a focus on improving diversity in leadership.
The stream will conclude with a CRO (chief risk officer) panel titled: ‘Tackling cost-of-living crisis’. In this informative and eye-opening session, the panel will share their experiences on how they have been handling the cost-of-living crisis, the available support for both customers and employees, as well as how to prepare for future challenges.
