The 2021 Lending Summit and the Lending Awards, sponsored by Ohpen, will now take place on 2 December at the Leonardo St Pauls Hotel in London.

Motivated by the busy conference season the business finds itself in, Credit Strategy has also made the change in order to ensure the Lending Summit has the highest calibre of speakers and attendees at the event. It’s also due to some lenders within the industry having recovered faster than others.

The programme event will be split into three streams, each focusing on a different part of the lending market - these being commercial finance, alternative finance and mortgage finance.

In what has been a year when the industry, more than ever, has played a vital role in supporting businesses and consumers, the Lending Summit will provide those in the industry a forum to discuss what the sector will look like post-pandemic.

Sessions in the commercial finance stream will focus on areas such as the future of commercial lending and whether pay as you grow is working, while the alternative lending stream will look at the opportunities and the challenges of the democratisation of banking services.

The mortgage finance stream, meanwhile, will explore how the sector can prepare for the house price bubble burst, and the disruptive effect digital mortgages could have on the mortgage finance landscape.

The event will also host four plenary sessions which will provide attendees with a snapshot of lending in a post-Covid recovery and how businesses can adapt their culture in order to improve complaint management.

The Lending Awards, sponsored by Ohpen, has also been pushed back to the 2 December, will take place at the same venue and follow on from the Lending Summit. Back for its fourth edition, the entry deadline for the awards has been extended until 22 October.

To book passes for any of the events, or if you are interested in speaking at or sponsoring any of the events, please reach out to a member of the team at sales@shardfinancialmedia.com.
