The Credit Strategy event, also sponsored by Lantern and Alphera Financial Services, took place the evening of the Collections & Vulnerability Summit at The Midland Hotel in Manchester.
The gala brought together collections teams across financial services, the public sector, energy, water and telecoms to recognise, celebrate and reflect on achievements during the pandemic last year.
Lloyds Banking Group, PayPlan, Lowell Financial and Lantern were just some of the winners at this year’s Vulnerability Awareness Gala.
A full list of the winners can be seen here.
During the evening, the two awards programmes came together to highlight some cross-sector winners. Best Vulnerable Customer Support Team was won by the specialist support team at Hitachi Capital (UK), while Emma Gibbons from PayPlan was recognised as Vulnerability Champion of 2021.
Critically acclaimed comedian Jimmy McGhie entertained the audience and hosted the awards alongside Credit Strategy’s chief executive Luke Broadhurst.
McGhie has performed stand up all over the world and appeared at the Edinburgh Fringe, Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Adelaide Fringe, Sydney Comedy Festival, Perth Comedy Festival and New Zealand International Comedy festival.
The Vulnerability Awareness Gala also supported Shooting Star Children’s Hospices through a silent auction, which raised £3,078.
